Governance of DC Benefits

The Pensions Regulator believes that all DC benefits, such as Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) and other Money Purchase benefits, should be effectively governed, durable and offer value for money. Most of all, it believes that trustees must work to deliver good member outcomes for those individuals with DC benefits.

With these objectives in mind the Trustees created a checklist to help them assess those benefits against each of the Regulators 31 DC Quality Features and, where shortcomings are identified, record what actions have been agreed by the Trustees to address them. This document (which is attached below) will be reviewed and updated regularly as part of the Trustee’s governance procedures. The Trustees will then produce an annual compliance statement, also attached.
