Expression of Wish form.
It should be noted that if you are retired any lump sum death benefit that may be payable, falls away once you have been retired for five years.
Whether you are active, deferred or retired there is normally a spouses pension payable on death. That pension could be paid instead to a partner or other dependant who is financially dependent on you or interdependent with you. The Trustees will have the absolute discretion on determining whether or not a dependants pension is payable but you can record your wishes with regard to a dependants pension on the back of your Expression of Wish Form.
